Upon arrival at Ndutu Airstrip, you’ll be transferred to the Ndutu region in southern Serengeti for an unforgettable adventure. Spend the day on a thrilling game drive through the heart of the wildebeest migration, where vast herds of wildebeest and zebras stretch across the plains. For lunch, your driver will set up a delightful picnic featuring a hot meal with soup, bread rolls, a main dish, and a fresh fruit salad, paired with wine or tea/coffee. Afterward, we return to camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Explore a stunning variety of habitats, from swamps and woodlands to soda lakes and the iconic Serengeti short grass plains. During the brief but dramatic calving season in February, which lasts around three weeks, the plains come alive with thousands of wildebeest calves. The wide-open grasslands offer little cover, making the newborns vulnerable to predators, creating a raw and captivating wildlife experience.

The Serengeti is world-famous for its incredible migration. Every year, over a million wildebeest and around 200,000 zebras journey south from the northern hills to the southern plains in search of the short rains, typically during October and November. After the long rains in April, May, and June, the herds shift west and north, continuing their remarkable migration across the Serengeti’s awe-inspiring landscape.
