Nairobi to Samburu
On your first day, you'll arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, where you'll be greeted by your tour guide. After a brief welcome, you’ll be transferred to wilson airport for your local transfer to samburu. Samburu is renowned for its unique wildlife, including the "Samburu Special Five" – Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, gerenuk, and reticulated giraffe. Upon arrival, you’ll check in at your lodge or tented camp, where you’ll have time to relax. In the evening, you’ll set out for your first game drive in the reserve, where you may encounter elephants, lions, cheetahs, and a variety of birdlife.

Game drives in Samburu
After breakfast, you’ll enjoy a full day of game drives in the Samburu National Reserve. The region's semi-arid environment provides a unique setting for wildlife viewing, where you’ll likely spot the "Special Five" and other wildlife, such as zebras, giraffes, leopards, and large herds of elephants. The mornings are ideal for animal activity, so you’ll head out early to maximize your chances of seeing predators and other animals in action. You’ll return to your lodge for lunch and a rest before heading out again in the afternoon for a second game drive. Afterward, enjoy a relaxing evening at your accommodation.

Drive to Sweetwaters
After breakfast, you'll leave Samburu and head to Sweetwaters, located in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The drive takes about 3 hours and offers a chance to see the beautiful Laikipia plateau. Ol Pejeta is known for its conservation efforts, particularly the protection of endangered species such as the Northern White Rhinos and the chimpanzees at the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Upon arrival, you can visit the sanctuary and learn about its efforts to rescue and rehabilitate chimpanzees. In the afternoon, you’ll embark on a game drive through the conservancy, where you’ll have the chance to see rhinos, elephants, giraffes, and other wildlife. You’ll spend the night at a luxury tented camp in Ol Pejeta.

Olpejeta to lake Nakuru NP
After breakfast, you'll leave Ol Pejeta and travel to Lake Nakuru National Park, a journey that takes around 4-5 hours. Lake Nakuru is famous for its large populations of flamingos that gather around the alkaline lake, and it is also home to both black and white rhinos, as well as a variety of other animals such as lions, giraffes, and buffalo. After checking into your lodge, you’ll head out on an afternoon game drive, exploring the park’s rich biodiversity and beautiful landscapes. You'll return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Departure to Masai Mara
After a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru to witness more wildlife and birdlife, you’ll begin your journey to the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Kenya’s most famous safari destinations. The drive will take around 5-6 hours, and upon arrival, you’ll settle into your accommodation. In the late afternoon, you’ll head out for your first game drive in the Mara, known for its exceptional wildlife sightings. The Mara is famous for its large populations of big cats (lions, leopards, and cheetahs), as well as elephants, zebras, and giraffes. You’ll return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Masai Mara Exploration
This day will be a full day of exploration in the Masai Mara. You’ll spend the day driving through the reserve, looking for the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino), as well as cheetahs, hyenas, and herds of wildebeest and zebra. If you’re visiting during the Great Migration (typically between July and October), you may have the chance to witness the dramatic river crossings. You’ll stop for lunch at a scenic spot before continuing your safari. For a more unique experience, you can opt for a hot air balloon ride at dawn, offering breathtaking aerial views of the Mara plains and its wildlife. After a full day of adventure, you'll return to your accommodation for a restful night.

Final Game drives and transfer to Nairobi
On your final day, you’ll have one last early morning game drive in the Masai Mara before heading back to Nairobi. The drive takes around 5-6 hours, so you’ll arrive in the early afternoon. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some time for souvenir shopping or a short city tour of Nairobi. Your guide will then transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or a location of your choice within Nairobi.
