Zanzibar to Arusha Airport to Tarangire National Park
Upon arrival in Arusha from Zanzibar, you will be picked up by your driver-guide and depart for Tarangire National Park. The park is found in the Northern circuit of Tanzania, a protected land filled with colossal baobab trees and herds of giant elephants. The name Tarangire originates from the Mbugwe community, whereby Tara means "river" and ngire means "warthog". Therefore, it is the "river of warthogs".
Animals found in Tarangire include lions, leopards, hippos, zebras, antelopes, gazelles, and other prey grazing in the park. Beautiful giraffes are seen picking at the tall, thorny trees alongside buffalos and wildebeests. Birds like crested francolins, yellow-necked sparrows, and steppe eagles are among some of the beautiful birds known to peak the interest of dedicated birders.

The predators hunt prey such as zebras, elands, and antelopes. The majestic giraffes can be seen picking at the tall acacia trees in the park. Crocodiles are found in the Grumeti and Mara Rivers, and hippos are spotted in the adjacent rivers.
