Day 1

Nairobi-Samburu National Reserve

Nairobi-Samburu National Reserve

Your driver guide will pick you from the airport or city hotel and begin your tour with a scenic drive to Samburu National Reserve, passing through Kenya’s central highlands. As you traverse this region, enjoy views of lush coffee and tea plantations, expansive sisal fields, and vibrant pineapple farms, offering a glimpse into the country’s agricultural heart. Arriving in the dramatic semi-arid scrublands of the Northern Frontier, you’ll reach your destination in time for lunch. Afterward, embark on an exciting afternoon game drive through the reserve. Samburu is a strikingly beautiful destination, with its vast, arid savannahs nourished by the life-giving Ewaso Nyiro River. This unique ecosystem is home to species found only north of the equator, including the striking reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, gerenuk, Beisa oryx, and a wealth of big game like elephants and lions. Return to your lodge for a relaxing dinner and an overnight stay, immersed in the serenity of the wild.
