After an early breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park with game viewing along the way. Renowned as the world’s most famous wildlife sanctuary, Serengeti is unmatched in natural beauty and hosts Africa's largest concentration of plains game. The park is best known for the Great Wildebeest Migration, where over a million wildebeests and 200,000 zebras migrate south to the plains during the short rains (October-November) and move west and north after the long rains (April-June). This ancient journey is driven by instinct, overcoming droughts, gorges, and crocodile-filled rivers. Serengeti's endless plains, abundant wildlife, and breathtaking sunrises and sunsets are unforgettable. Enjoy a packed lunch at a picnic site before continuing your game drive. Central To North Serengeti Following The Great Migration
After breakfast, we head to the far northern Serengeti, known as Wagakuria, with a game drive from the Lobo area. Along the way, we may see giraffes, buffalo herds, elephants, and other plains game. The Serengeti is renowned for its wildlife, especially the annual Great Migration. During this event, large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, and antelope move in search of fresh grazing. The timing of the migration depends on rainfall, and from July to September, it can be seen crossing the Mara River in northern Serengeti, heading to Maasai Mara, where Nile crocodiles await. After lunch and an extensive game drive, we head to our partner camp for dinner and overnight stay.
