Day 2

After breakfast, your safari guide will meet you at your lodge to begin your journey to Lake Manyara National Park. Despite its compact size, this park offers remarkable diversity and is named after the shallow salt lake that spans much of its area. The lake, which fluctuates with the seasons, attracts thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species, making it a paradise for bird enthusiasts.

As you explore the park, you’ll encounter a variety of wildlife, including monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, elephants, and, if fortunate, tree-climbing lions lounging on the branches. Lake Manyara is celebrated for its rich and varied landscapes, ranging from open grassy plains to dense woodlands filled with primates and dramatic cliffs adorned with baobab trees.

After an immersive game drive, you’ll make your way back to Arusha for an overnight stay at the Gold Crest Hotel, where you can relax and reflect on the day’s adventures.
