Gorilla trekking in Bwindi and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Wake up early for breakfast to fuel your adventure ahead. Before 8:00 am, head to the ranger station to register and listen to an informative briefing by one of the rangers.

Once ready, the guides will lead you through the bush, pushing through the undergrowth to track the gorillas. (Please note that the trek can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 5-6 hours). A reasonable level of fitness is required, along with sturdy walking shoes for the journey.

Once you find the gorillas, you’ll have the incredible opportunity to sit quietly among them, observing their interactions and marveling at the impressive Silverback, the dominant male. It’s an extraordinary experience to be in the heart of the rain forest with some of the last remaining mountain gorillas, with only around 650 of these magnificent creatures left in the wild.

After your trek, you'll drive to Lake Bunyonyi, where you can relax and enjoy the stunning surroundings.
