Your final destination for today is Kibale Forest National Park. The day will be filled with a beautiful drive! You will drive past villages, rainforests, tea plantations and crater lakes towards Fort Portal. In clear weather you can see the Rwenzori Mountains with their snow-capped peaks. Upon arrival in Kibale Forest you will find yourself in a completely different world; a monkey world!

Kibale Forest is one of Africa's most primate-rich rainforests, hosting 13 different primate species. These include the red-tailed monkey, black-and-white colobus, red colobus, diademed monkey, mangabey, and galago. Situated at an average altitude of 1,300 meters, this protected reserve is bordered by tea plantations to the north and papyrus swamps to the south.

The afternoon Bigodi Community Tour offers a unique cultural experience to connect with the local way of life through activities like traditional cooking, basket weaving, and banana beer brewing and traditional dances.

As you journey towards Bwindi, you’ll pass through the picturesque Ugandan countryside and charming villages, with rolling hills that many call the "Switzerland of Africa." The park is located in southwestern Uganda, on the edge of the Rift Valley. Your night will be spent at Bweza Gorilla Lodge, where you’ll enjoy your stay next to the forest.
