Arusha - Lake Manyara

Arusha - Lake Manyara

Picked up from your hotel in Arusha and start a beautiful journey across the Great Rift Valley for a full day game drive. Although small in dimension, the park has breathtaking scenery and is well famous for its lush acacia forest, giant figs and mahogany trees, as well as to a growing population of baboons and blue monkeys. Permanent residents of this park include giraffes, elephants, impalas and a huge number of buffaloes. The lake is also home to a large number of hippos. The landscapes of Lake Manyara are something that can not be described with words, and the game drives along the lake provide stunning photo opportunities. You have giraffes and buffaloes in the foreground and the lake in the background. Some extra tours are possible, including a bike tour or a boat excursion. In the afternoon, return to the camp for dinner.

After an early breakfast, set out for the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. While the journey is lengthy, the scenery along the way is nothing short of extraordinary. For first-time visitors, the experience of witnessing the Serengeti's vastness is truly unforgettable. As you venture deeper into the park, its name, meaning "endless plains" in the local language, becomes evident. Spanning 6,900 square miles (18,000 square kilometers), the Serengeti's expansive plains stretch endlessly, challenging your senses and perception of distance. This iconic park hosts the Great Migration, featuring over 2 million wildebeests, countless zebras, and a variety of antelopes. It is also a prime habitat for big cats and predators, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. Many famous wildlife documentaries, such as dramatic river crossings, have been filmed in this extraordinary setting.

After the game drive, return to camp for a well-deserved brunch before continuing to the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, often called the "8th Wonder of the Natural World." Spanning 102 square miles with walls rising 2,000 feet, the crater is a natural sanctuary, home to nearly every species of East African wildlife. It is one of the few places where you can encounter the rare black rhino. The crater's diverse ecosystem includes a river, swamps, a soda lake alive with flamingos, a forest, and open plains. It is also renowned for its majestic elephants, known for their immense size and impressive tusks. The Ngorongoro Crater is a true marvel of nature.
