After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and begin your journey to Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its stunning pink flamingos and abundant wildlife. The drive from Amboseli to Nakuru will take approximately 5-6 hours, passing through the Great Rift Valley, offering picturesque views of the valley floor and its dramatic escarpments. Upon arrival in Nakuru, you will check into your accommodation and enjoy a delicious lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is home to a wide range of wildlife, including rhinos, giraffes, lions, and various species of antelope. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in Maasai Mara, one of Africa’s premier safari destinations. Famous for its rich wildlife, including the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros), the Mara is home to some of the most diverse and abundant wildlife in the world. The reserve is also known for its dramatic landscapes and is one of the best places to witness the Great Migration (seasonal). Day 5

On your fifth day, you will have the entire day to explore Maasai Mara. After an early breakfast, you will head out for a full day of game drives in the reserve. This gives you ample time to explore the varied ecosystems, including the savannahs, rivers, and woodlands, all teeming with wildlife. During the game drives, you can expect to see lions resting under trees, elephants grazing, cheetahs hunting, and buffaloes moving in large herds. Maasai Mara is also a great place to spot the elusive leopard and the rare black rhino. For a unique experience, you may have the option to take a hot air balloon ride over the Mara (subject to availability), offering a bird’s eye view of the incredible wildlife below. After a picnic lunch in the park or a return to the lodge, you will continue your game drive, seeking more wildlife sightings. In the evening, return to your lodge for a final dinner in the Mara and overnight.
