The journey will take approximately 4-5 hours, allowing you to experience Kenya’s rural landscapes and rolling hills. Upon arrival in Amboseli, you will check into your lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch before heading out on your first game drive. Amboseli is renowned for its large herds of elephants, and you'll likely encounter these majestic animals in the park, along with lions, zebras, giraffes, and a variety of bird species. Start your second day early with a sunrise game drive in Amboseli. The early morning hours are ideal for spotting wildlife as the animals are most active. The park’s unique landscapes, with open plains, swamps, and the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, provide a perfect setting for an unforgettable safari experience. During your game drive, keep an eye out for elephants, buffaloes, cheetahs, and lions as well as a variety of birdlife. After a refreshing breakfast at the lodge, you can opt to relax and enjoy the lodge’s facilities or explore the surrounding area. For the more adventurous, a visit to a local Maasai village can offer an insight into the culture of the region’s indigenous people (optional). Amboseli to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and begin your journey to Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its stunning pink flamingos and abundant wildlife. The drive from Amboseli to Nakuru will take approximately 5-6 hours, passing through the Great Rift Valley, offering picturesque views of the valley floor and its dramatic escarpments. Upon arrival in Nakuru, you will check into your accommodation and enjoy a delicious lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is home to a wide range of wildlife, including rhinos, giraffes, lions, and various species of antelope. The lake itself is renowned for its large flocks of flamingos, which create a stunning pink hue along its shores, making it a photographer’s paradise. As the day comes to an end, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, you will depart from Lake Nakuru and head to Maasai Mara National Reserve. The drive will take approximately 5-6 hours, and along the way, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the Rift Valley. Upon arrival in Maasai Mara, check into your lodge and enjoy a late lunch. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in Maasai Mara, one of Africa’s premier safari destinations. Famous for its rich wildlife, including the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros), the Mara is home to some of the most diverse and abundant wildlife in the world. The reserve is also known for its dramatic landscapes and is one of the best places to witness the Great Migration (seasonal). Maasai Mara National Reserve

On your fifth day, you will have the entire day to explore Maasai Mara. After an early breakfast, you will head out for a full day of game drives in the reserve. This gives you ample time to explore the varied ecosystems, including the savannahs, rivers, and woodlands, all teeming with wildlife. During the game drives, you can expect to see lions resting under trees, elephants grazing, cheetahs hunting, and buffaloes moving in large herds. Maasai Mara is also a great place to spot the elusive leopard and the rare black rhino. For a unique experience, you may have the option to take a hot air balloon ride over the Mara (subject to availability), offering a bird’s eye view of the incredible wildlife below. After a picnic lunch in the park or a return to the lodge, you will continue your game drive, seeking more wildlife sightings. In the evening, return to your lodge for a final dinner in the Mara and overnight.

Upon arrival in Nairobi, you can enjoy a relaxing lunch, possibly at the famous Carnivore Restaurant or another local eatery, where you can savor traditional Kenyan cuisine. Depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure, marking the end of your incredible 6-day safari.
