Manyara National Park – Arusha
Enjoy breakfast before setting off to explore Lake Manyara National Park. Marvel at the stunning views of Lake Manyara and observe elephants roaming in the woodlands. Don't miss the chance to visit the famous Manyara hippo pool, where numerous hippos gather from dawn till dusk. After the game drive, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your return flight home or onward journey.
The park offers a great view of the 400 meters deep Great Rift Valley. This tear in the earth came into existence 22 to 25 million years ago, when movement in a weak area of the earth’s crust led to the formation of a rift thousands of kilometers long through the whole of East Africa. The valley is so enormous it can be seen from outer space and it has many unique landscapes that attract a vast number of different animals. Besides being home to Lake Manyara itself you can also find dense rainforest here with hundreds of groups of monkeys and a huge number of birds.
