Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

A driver will pick you up from your hotel in Zanzibar early in the morning depending on your location and transport you to the airport for your flight to Arusha, expected to arrive around 9:15 AM. Upon landing at Arusha Airport, a guide will be there to greet you.

From Arusha, you’ll begin a scenic 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, some of the largest in Africa. You’ll travel in an open-roof vehicle, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the park’s varied terrain, which includes seasonal swamps, vast savannas, and the vibrant Tarangire River teeming with wildlife.

Tarangire is home to an impressive array of animals, including birds, giraffes, impalas, zebras, lions, leopards, elands, warthogs, and, of course, elephants. After a day of exciting wildlife viewing, you’ll head to your lodge for a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, the group will depart for the Ngorongoro Crater in search of the elusive black rhino, one of the most challenging animals to spot in the wild.

Inside the stunning crater, participants will witness a true wildlife spectacle, often referred to as Africa's "Noah's Ark," where a variety of animals coexist, including elephants, hyenas, big cats, rhinos, and many others. In the afternoon, there will be a break for lunch at the hippo lake before continuing with a thrilling game drive as you ascend back up to the crater rim.

Once the game drives conclude, you’ll head back to the lodge, check out, and then make your way to Kilimanjaro Airport for your evening flight back to Zanzibar.
