Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast, check out and proceed to Samburu. Arrive in time for lunch. Later, head out for an afternoon safari. The wildlife in Samburu often becomes more active as the temperatures begin to cool. You might spot elephants, lions, cheetahs, leopards, and various bird species. In the evening as you head to lodge you can have a sundowner watching the sunset over the savannah.

Your guide will take you on a game drive through the park. The early hours offer great chances to spot the “Samburu Special Five” – species that are unique to this area: Gravy's zebra, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, and the beisa oryx. In the evening you can optionally have a village visit and engage with Samburu people and learn more about their traditions, beadwork, and cultural practices.

Enjoy your last day game drive in Samburu. This day you can choose to enjoy the views of Mount ololokwe, enjoy the many bird species found in the reserve. Enjoy the beautiful Ewaso river that is a source of water in the reserve. It attracts elephants and other animals making it an excellent spot for game viewing.
