After breakfast, set out for the Serengeti, the most renowned national park in the world. Though the journey is long, the drive itself is nothing short of spectacular, offering breathtaking landscapes that will leave a lasting impression—especially for first-time visitors.
As you venture deeper into the Serengeti, the reason behind its name, meaning "endless plains" in the local language, becomes strikingly clear. Spanning 6,900 square miles (18,000 square kilometers), the seemingly infinite plains stretch to the horizon, challenging your sense of scale and distance.
The Serengeti is home to the iconic Great Migration, featuring over 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and a variety of antelopes. It is also a prime destination for spotting big cats and other large predators, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. Many famous wildlife scenes, such as the dramatic river crossings, have been filmed in this extraordinary park.
