Drive to Akagera National Park and afternoon boat ride

Pick up at your place or hotel at 5:00 am. Depart from Kigali by 5:30 am. Breakfast enroute.

Travel to Akagera National Park, it's approximately a 3 hours’ drive from Kigali to Akagera National Park.
Arrive at the park entrance, check-in, enjoy a short game drive to your hotel. Continue enjoying a 6-hour game drive to explore the wildlife and landscapes of the park known for its diverse wildlife, including Lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species.

Have lunch at a picnic area, then at 3 pm, embark on a 1-hour boat ride on the scenic waters of Lake Ihema.
Enjoy views of the surrounding landscapes and wildlife. Look out for birds, including pelicans and kingfishers.
Possible sightings of hippos and other wildlife along the shores.

In the evening, head to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Check out the hotel and head back to Kigali.
Enroute you'll stop by Imigongo Art center to appreciate art work and other Rwandan handiwork.

Upon arrival, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where you can learn about Rwanda's history and pay respects to the victims. Afterward, head to Kimironko Market, a vibrant local market where you can explore handmade crafts, fresh produce, and experience Rwanda’s bustling culture. This visit offers a deeper understanding of the country’s transformation and daily life.

After the city tour, you will be dropped off at Kigali International Airport, your hotel, or any preferred location. This concludes your memorable journey, filled with wildlife encounters, cultural exploration, and historical insights.
