Arusha to Tarangire National Park

You will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha or from Kilimanjaro/Arusha Airport, then embark on a 3-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy a full-day game drive, with a hot lunch served within the park. Later, you'll drive to Kankari Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Tarangire is renowned for its large herds of up to 300 elephants, which search for water in the dry riverbeds. The park also attracts a variety of wildlife, including nomadic wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest, and eland, all of which gather around the dwindling water sources. Known for having the highest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem, Tarangire is a prime location for predators. Additionally, it is the only national park that hosts migrating wildlife during the dry season, offering a haven for many different species.

Serengeti’s major attractions include its vast, endless plains and the renowned wildebeest migration.
