Early in the morning, our professional driver will pick you up from your preferred hotel in Zanzibar, marking the start of an unforgettable adventure. You'll head to Zanzibar Airport for your scheduled flight, departing around 6:00 AM, to Mtemere Airstrip in the stunning Nyerere National Park.

Upon arrival, your thrilling full-day game drive begins, offering an incredible opportunity to witness the park’s magnificent wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and so much more. A delicious hot lunch will be served amidst the beauty of the park, giving you time to relax and soak in the serene surroundings.

Selous Nyerere National Park Game Drive

After a hearty breakfast, you'll embark on an exciting full-day game drive into the heart of the vast Nyerere National Park, a sanctuary of unspoiled wilderness and breathtaking wildlife. Prepare to be mesmerized by the park’s incredible biodiversity as you journey through its diverse landscapes.

You’ll have the chance to encounter majestic elephants, herds of buffalo, elegant giraffes, striking zebras, and graceful impalas roaming freely. The park is also home to apex predators like lions, elusive leopards, and the rare African wild dogs Nyerere National Park boasts the highest population of these endangered animals in Tanzania. Keep your eyes peeled for hippos wallowing in the waterways and crocodiles basking along the riverbanks, while vibrant bird species soar above.

At midday, a delicious hot lunch will be served right in the heart of the park, allowing you to relax and soak in the tranquil beauty of your surroundings before continuing your adventure. You will enjoy.

Game drive and boat safari

After enjoying your morning tea or coffee, you’ll depart the lodge for an exciting game drive through the breathtaking landscapes of Nyerere National Park. As you explore the park, you’ll have the chance to spot iconic wildlife such as elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and impalas, alongside an array of bird species and other fascinating creatures. The diverse vegetation zones, from open wooded grasslands to dense thickets.

Around midday, you’ll have a delicious lunch and have a short break to relax and recharge. Then, you’ll set off on a serene boat safari along the great Rufiji River. This two-hour cruise offers unforgettable views of hippos growling in the water, crocodiles sunbathing on the riverbanks, and vibrant birdlife gracing the skies.

After the boat safari, you’ll be transferred to Mtemere Airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar, bringing your incredible adventure in Nyerere National Park to a memorable close.
