Day 1

After breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, your guide will pick you up, and you will descend over 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable wildlife experience. The crater's year-round water and vegetation sustain a diverse range of animals, including wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, elands, warthogs, hippos, and majestic African elephants. This area is also renowned for its high concentration of predators, such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, often requiring a keen eye to spot. You'll visit Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern part of the crater, home to hippos, flamingos, and various water birds. In the late afternoon, you'll be transferred to your hotel in the Ngorongoro Highlands for your overnight stay.
