Day 1

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Today, we will depart after breakfast and begin our journey to the Serengeti. After a scenic 4-hour drive, we’ll arrive at the park and enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll embark on a thrilling game drive through this stunning reserve. The Serengeti is renowned for its vast plains of savannah and diverse landscapes, home to the incredible migration of 1.5 million herbivores and their predators. As the animals move in response to drought in the northern hills, they make their way to the lush southern plains. After the rains in mid-April, they’ll return, taking a detour through the western region. By the end of the day, we’ll reach our campsite, located deep within the Serengeti. Your tent will be ready, and as evening falls, the chef will prepare a delicious dinner for you to enjoy under the stars.

Day 2

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park

The name Serengeti comes from the Maasai word 'siringitu,' which means "endless plains." This name perfectly captures the vast, uninterrupted expanse of grassland savannah stretching to the horizon in the south, broken only by the unique kopjes—rock formations created by the weathering of granite outcrops. These plains provide an ideal hunting ground for leopards and other big cats, offering excellent opportunities to observe these majestic creatures in their natural environment, often visible from the open roof of the vehicle.
