Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

We will pick you up from your hotel and introduce you to your tour guide and chef before heading to Tarangire National Park, just a two-hour drive away. Renowned for its diverse landscapes, the park boasts ancient baobab trees and the largest concentration of elephants in Tanzania. You'll have a fantastic opportunity to observe elephant families in their natural habitat.

Enjoy a game drive through the park, guided by recent animal sightings. While herbivores like giraffes, wildebeest, and zebras are abundant, spotting predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards adds to the excitement.

At midday, we'll stop at the Tarangire River picnic site, where you can savor your lunch while taking in stunning views of the river and wildlife. Be prepared for some playful antics from curious monkeys and baboons—but don’t worry, it’s all part of the adventure! After lunch, we’ll continue the game drive before exiting the park around 4:30 PM.

Day 2

Ngorongoro crater

Ngorongoro crater

The Ngorongoro Crater, with its fertile volcanic soil, supports a wide variety of habitats, making it one of the few places where you can spot the Big Five in a single day. At its heart lies Lake Makat (Soda Lake in Maasai), a haven for numerous bird species.

The area is also home to many Maasai families, living in their distinctive circular bomas. For those interested in human history, the Ngorongoro region is a must-visit, as it played a pivotal role in the study of human evolution, led by the Leakey family.

Wildlife sightings may include lions, buffalo, wildebeest, zebras, hippos, gazelles, jackals, foxes, wild dogs, elands, waterbucks, servals, and other ungulates. Giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, and elephants are less commonly seen, with the latter occasionally spotted along the crater rim.

In the evening, you’ll return to Arusha, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel to conclude your safari adventure.
