Into the Simien Mountains

After breakfast, drive from Gondar to Debark, where you’ll meet your hiking team and acquire park permits. Begin your trek through the stunning Simien Mountains National Park, hiking for 3-4 hours from Chinkwanit to Sankaber. Along the way, encounter Gelada baboons, an endemic primate species known for their fascinating social behavior. Enjoy breathtaking views of rugged cliffs and valleys as you immerse yourself in this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Camp overnight at Sankaber under a star-filled sky.

Sunrise and Farewell
