Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your safari will begin with a pick-up from your hotel, followed by a scenic drive of nearly two hours from Arusha to Tarangire National Park.
At this time of year, many animals move from the dry Maasai steppe to the Tarangire River to find water. Tarangire, which is 2,600 square kilometers in size, is famous for its large herds of elephants and buffalos. You can also see lions, giraffes, impalas, wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles here. It is the only place where the fringe-eared oryx is found.

You will go on a game drive in the park and then return to Mto wa Mbu in your accommodation Ngedere Lodge and Camps for an overnight start.

Day 2

After breakfast, you will journey to Serengeti National Park, traveling through Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you'll pass the scenic highland farms of Karatu. As you leave the highlands, you’ll descend into the Serengeti National Park, a true wilderness with endless grasslands stretching to the horizon.

Next, you’ll make your way to the Seronera region, one of the park's prime wildlife areas. The Seronera River runs through this region, providing a crucial water source that attracts a wide variety of animals representative of the Serengeti's diverse species. You’ll arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at your campsite.

Your day in Serengeti National Park will start with an early morning game drive. The schedule is flexible and tailored to your preferences. Each day, your guide will work with you to plan the best times for activities, including game drives and wake-up calls.

For example, you could enjoy a morning game drive, then head back to the camp or lodge for lunch or brunch and some relaxation before setting out again for an afternoon game drive. Alternatively, you could opt for a longer game drive with a picnic lunch. After your exciting adventures, you'll return to the campsite for the evening.

As evening approaches, you'll arrive at the crater and head to Simba Campsite, perched on its rim. Here, you'll savor a delicious dinner while taking in the stunning views. Spend the night at the campsite, surrounded by the crater's natural beauty, before settling in for a restful sleep.

Start your day with an early breakfast before heading down into the beautiful Ngorongoro Crater for an exciting morning game drive. Keep a lookout for the rare black rhinos as you explore this amazing wilderness.

The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most stunning places in the world, and you'll have plenty of time to admire its beauty. After your game drive, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch by the peaceful Hippo Lake.

After lunch, take a short game drive before leaving the crater and exiting the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Next you will check in at the Ngedere Lodges & camps. Here, you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner and relax for the night.

Get ready for another exciting day as you explore the stunning Lake Manyara National Park. This park is filled with breathtaking views, stretching along the green base of the golden Rift Valley escarpment.

Keep an eye out for the unique dark-colored giraffes that look almost black from a distance and the rare tree-climbing lions wandering the savannah. You might also spot monkeys in the forest canopy and hippos relaxing in the soda lake. With over 400 bird species, it’s a paradise for bird lovers.

During your game drive, watch for other animals like buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, mongoose, klipspringers, and bushbucks. After your adventure, enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before heading back to Arusha then you will be dropped of in your hotel at Arusha.
