Kigali city tour & transfer to Volcanoes National Park

8:00 AM: Depart from your Kigali hotel.
8:30 AM - 10:30 AM: Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial. Take time to respectfully explore the exhibits and learn about the tragic history of the Rwandan genocide.
11:00 AM - 12:30 PM: Head to Kimironko Market. Immerse yourself in the bustling atmosphere, browse local crafts, fabrics, and produce, and perhaps try some street food.
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Kigali.

Afternoon depart from Kigali for Volcanoes National Park. The drive takes approximately 2.5 hours.
Arrive at the hotel. Check in and settle in.
Late Evening: Relax and enjoy the serene atmosphere of the park. Depending on your arrival time, you might have time for a nature walk, a visit to a nearby community project, or simply unwind and enjoy the views.

Golden monkey trekking and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

6:00 AM: Wake up and have breakfast at your lodge. (Be sure to have a hearty breakfast before your trek!)
7:00 AM: Depart for Volcanoes National Park from your lodge. Make sure to wear comfortable trekking shoes, long sleeves, and a hat for sun protection. Also, bring some water, snacks, and a camera.
Arrive at the park headquarters for a briefing on the golden monkey trekking rules and safety measures. The trek can take 1 to 3 hours depending on the location of the golden monkeys.

Return to the park headquarters after your trek. Lunch at a local restaurant or lodge.
Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey can take approximately 3-4 hours. You can apply for an East African visa before coming for easier access to multiple countries or pay $50 visa upon entry to each country.

Evening: Check-in at your lodge in Bwindi. Relax after your journey and enjoy dinner.

Gorilla trekking at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

5:30 AM: Wake up and have breakfast. A filling breakfast is crucial to fuel you for your day of trekking.
6:30 AM: Depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park headquarters. You’ll need to arrive early for the briefing.
8:00 AM: Gorilla Trekking begins. Depending on the location of the gorillas, this could take anywhere from 1 to 5 hours of hiking through the dense forest, which can be quite rugged and steep, so be prepared for a bit of a challenge.
Return to the park headquarters. After the trek, head back to the starting point, where you’ll meet your guide and fellow trekkers.
2:00 PM: Lunch at your lodge or a local restaurant.

Transfer Back to Kigali: Depart for Kigali, Rwanda. The journey will take around 4-5 hours, depending on road conditions and border crossing.

You'll be dropped off at your hotel or specific location as agreed upon.
