It has a mild, temperate climate due to its elevation, and serves as a key cultural and economic hub. Arusha is also home to the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. The city is vibrant, with a mix of modern buildings, traditional markets, and cultural landmarks, reflecting its diverse population. It’s a major destination for tourists, particularly those exploring Tanzania’s wildlife.

Day 2

Serengeti National Park

Your Tanzania safari guide will pick you up and begin the journey to Serengeti, with lunch boxes provided for the 7- to 8-hour drive. As you leave Arusha, you'll travel across the Maasai steppe, where the landscape shifts dramatically with each passing minute. Along the way, you'll see Maasai people dressed in vibrant red, blue, or violet garments, herding their cattle and women carrying water with donkeys.

About three hours into the drive, you'll enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a stunning natural landscape teeming with wildlife. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, Cape buffaloes, gazelles, and waterbucks, with a bit of luck granting sightings of predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas. You'll arrive in Serengeti in the afternoon, just in time for an exciting game drive before heading to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the lodge before setting off on a full-day game drive in the Central Serengeti, complete with packed lunch boxes for your adventure. Today, you’ll immerse yourself in the fascinating world of predators as you explore the vast savannah plains. Keep an eye out for lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, caracals, and serval cats as they roam freely. The plains are also home to a variety of antelope species, including gazelles, topis, hartebeests, waterbucks, zebras, and wildebeests. With over 500 bird species, Serengeti’s skies are equally vibrant.

After a rewarding day of exploration and a satisfying lunch in the wild, you'll continue your journey to your next accommodation, where a delightful dinner and restful overnight stay await.

The Ngorongoro Crater

The Ngorongoro Crater

Start your day with an early breakfast at the camp, then embark on a thrilling tour of Ngorongoro Crater with packed lunch boxes in tow. This incredible natural wonder is home to over 27,000 wild animals, including the Big Five and more than 100 bird species. It’s also one of the best places to see the endangered black rhino up close. Along with the Big Five, the crater shelters a variety of wildlife, including hippos, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, hartebeests, bushbucks, waterbucks, and even elusive caracals and serval cats.

After a fulfilling lunch and an exciting game drive, you’ll head back to Arusha Airport for your return flight to Zanzibar.
