7:30 AM: Pick up by the driver from your hotel.

Drive to Nyanza, approximately 2 hours south of Kigali. Explore the Royal Palace Museum in Nyanza, which offers insight into the traditional Rwandan monarchy, showcasing the history of the kings and queens with restored palaces and artifacts.

5:30 AM – 6:00 AM: Early breakfast at the lodge to fuel up for the trekking experience.

Arrive at the park’s visitor center for a briefing on safety, chimpanzee behavior, and what to expect during the trek.

Start your trek through the forest to locate the chimpanzee group. Depending on the group’s location, the trek can last 1 to 4 hours, as the rangers track the chimps based on their last known position.
After your chimpanzee trekking adventure, return to the lodge for lunch or any restaurant.

Begin your journey back to Kigali, with a scenic drive through Rwanda’s beautiful landscapes.
You'll be dropped off at your hotel.
