You will be picked up from either a hotel or Entebbe International Airport by a professional Gorilla Safari Consultants' driver-guide early morning for the road trip to Bwindi Forest National Park. After a short safari briefing, you will set off on a scenic drive towards southwestern Uganda, Kisoro/Kabale.

You will drive through rolling green hills, tea plantations, and local villages. Enjoy scheduled stops at the Equator for photography and a taste of Uganda’s warm hospitality. You will have lunch en-route and continue with the drive to Bwindi Forest National park.

On arrival, Check into Lake Mulehe Safari Lodge, near the forest and relax amidst the enchanting sounds of nature. In the evening, unwind by the campfire while being briefed about the next day's gorilla trekking experience.

Day 2

Gorilla Trek and Batwa Pygmies Community Encounter

Upon rising, enjoy breakfast and later, head to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest park headquarters for registration and a briefing from experienced ranger guides on gorilla trekking guidelines/rules and etiquette. You will be allocated to your gorilla family group (in groups of 8 individuals per family) and according to one's physical fitness, capability and preference for easy, medium or challenging gorilla hike.

You will embark on a once-in-a-lifetime trek into the dense forest. The hike can range from a few hours to most of the day, depending on the gorillas’ movements as they search for fresh food, water and shelter.
Once you find the gorillas, spend an hour observing them interact, play, nurture their young ones in their habitat.
After this amazing encounter, return to the starting point, receive certificate of participation and have lunch.

In the evening, take a guided community walk to Batwa Pygmies - the indigenous settlers in Bwindi). Dine and rest at your lodge.

Return to Entebbe Airport and Departure Flight

Return to Entebbe Airport and Departure Flight

On waking up, have breakfast at leisure while soaking in the final views of Bwindi’s misty hills.
Later, you will drive back to Entebbe. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to stop for souvenirs or photos. You will continue with your drive to Entebbe around late afternoon or early evening for check-in for your departure flight to next destination.
