Day 1

Arusha To Tarangire National Park

Arusha To Tarangire National Park

Today, after you arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport(JRO)/ Arusha airport, we’ll leave Arusha and head towards Tarangire National Park, with a packed lunch on the way. As we travel through the open plains south of Arusha, we’ll make our way to the park. During the dry season (May to October), Tarangire is known for having the highest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti. The park's southeastern wetlands are home to over 300 bird species.
With fewer visitors compared to other parks, Tarangire offers a peaceful safari experience. Its vast savannah, dotted with iconic baobab and acacia trees, provides a perfect opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Africa’s wilderness in solitude.
You’ll have a full day of game viewing, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at Marera Valley or another lodge in the area.

From your open-top vehicle, you’ll get a close-up view of some of Africa’s most well-known wildlife. The crater is home to predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, as well as herds of wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, cape buffaloes, and more. It’s one of the best places in Africa for a safari.
