Day 1

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

We'll pick you up from your Arusha hotel and take a scenic two-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, passing through Arusha's urban landscape, vast plains, and Maasai villages along the way.

Once inside the park, you'll be captivated by the Tarangire River, lined with acacia and baobab trees, where wildlife roams freely. During the dry season, the park becomes a refuge for thousands of animals migrating from the Maasai steppe in search of water, providing excellent opportunities for sightings. Key highlights include endangered species like the greater kudu, fringe-eared oryx, and ashy starling.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the park's picturesque spots, but watch out for the playful monkeys eyeing your meal!

In the afternoon, we'll head back to Arusha.

Day 2

Materuni Waterfalls

Materuni Waterfalls

After being picked up by our driver, you'll head to Materuni village and the stunning waterfalls. Walk along tropical trails beneath a canopy of banana trees, while hearing captivating stories of the villagers living on Mount Kilimanjaro's foothills. Enjoy the rich flora and fauna, with vibrant birdlife, colorful butterflies, and medicinal plants. Along the way, take in breathtaking views of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro.

Upon reaching the waterfalls, snap some beautiful photos before descending back to the village for a locally-prepared lunch. Learn about the area’s history and traditions, and visit the Chagga community’s coffee plantations. Here, villagers will show you the coffee farming process, and you'll even get the chance to prepare and drink your own local coffee.
