This is the moment you've been waiting for: your safari is about to start and there's so much to look forward to. Flight from Zanzibar Airport to Mtemere Airstrip. Upon arrival, we'll welcome you, give you a taste of what lies ahead, and then get ready to set out and enjoy so many remarkable safari experiences. Here in Nyerere National Park, you might just fall in love with going on safari. Nyerere is, after all, home to one of the biggest lion populations in Africa. Lion, elephant, zebra, giraffe, hippo, crocodile, buffalo, wildebeest you’re almost guaranteed to see plenty of these. It’s also a good place to see African wild dogs and leopards, but these are definitely harder to find. Wherever you look, the backdrop to all these animals is always beautiful. The rocky hills rise over parts of the reserve, the Rufiji River is hippo-filled, and the lakes are fringed with palm trees. You will get time to enjoy a boat ride at Rufii River after game drive.

Day 2-3

Breakfast in your accommodation followed by full day game drives in the reserve. Nyerere National Park is a home to large population of elephant, big number of buffalo and wild dog. Other species commonly seen are lion, bushbuck, impala, giraffe, eland, baboon, zebra, Kudus and Crocodile. Dinner and overnight at Selous Kulinda Camp.
You will have a walking safaris on day 3, the most exciting experience, unique in Tanzania, accompanied by rangers armed for about 2hrs and then back to the camp for brunch and proceed with your game drive.

Day 4

Fly from Nyerere National Park to Ruaha National Park
No one ever complains about having to spend more time here in Nyerere National Park with its unique landscapes and large number of animals. You will have morning game en route towards Mtemere Airstrip where you will connect with morning domestic flight to Ruaha National Park. Upon arrival at Ruaha, meet your guide and proceed with game en route to your accommodation for hot lunch followed by afternoon game drive in Ruaha National Park after lunch. Later back to your accommodation for Dinner and overnight.

Day 5

You can look forward to big prides of lions, and big herds of elephants and buffaloes in this wild and unforgettable park. And you might see so many giraffes, hippos and zebras in Ruaha that you’ll stop counting them. Watch for leopards, too, although they can be difficult to see. The scenery is just as memorable – there’s magic in the air close to sunrise and sunset when everything here turns to gold and animals gather along the riverbanks. There are lots of birds here, too, with more than 450 species recorded in the park. And you’ll definitely come across more animals than fellow travelers.

Day 6

Early morning game drive towards Airstrip where you will connect with your flight to Zanzibar Beach. Arrive at Zanzibar Airport in the afternoon, meet your guide and proceed to your accommodation for leisure, dinner and overnight.
During your stay in Zanzibar drinks are inclusive for both nights.
