Day 1
Nairobi - Masai Mara NR
Nairobi - Masai Mara NR
Depart early in the morning for Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of the few places left on Earth where wildlife still lives relatively undisturbed, in the numbers that once roamed Africa’s plains and forests. As the northern tip of the vast Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara hosts the spectacular seasonal migration of thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and the predators that follow them. Arrive in time for lunch, then head out for an afternoon game drive.

Masai Mara NR
Masai Mara NR
After the morning breakfast, you’ll enjoy full day of game drives, with packed lunch provided. The reserve is famous for its black-manned lions, abundant resident wildlife, and is one of the few places where it’s possible to see the Big Five in just a morning’s game drive. Many cheetahs are so tame that they seek shelter from the hot sun under vehicles, and some even climb onto the roof for a better view of prospective prey. For bird enthusiasts, nearly 500 species have been recorded, including 16 species of eagles, numerous hawks and falcons, 6 species of vultures, 8 species of storks, 4 species of bustards (including the Kori bustard, the world’s heaviest flying bird), and 9 species of sunbirds.. The midday meals will be at the picnic Mara River migration point. Later you will return to the camp for dinner.

Masai Mara NR - Lake Nakuru NP
You’ll be picked up early in the morning and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Famous worldwide for its flamingos, the lake is alkaline and recognized as one of the Natural Wonders of the World. Lake Nakuru is also a Rhino Sanctuary, home to over 40 black rhinos and more than 60 white rhinos. But the flamingos, of course, remain the main attraction. At times, nearly 2 million flamingos gather at the lake, creating a stunning deep pink band around the shoreline. You’ll arrive in time for lunch and then head out for an afternoon game drive.

Lake Nakuru NP - Lake Naivasha NP
Embark on an early morning drive to Lake Naivasha, the highest and most beautiful of the Rift Valley lakes. At 1,910 meters (6,200 feet), the water is fresh, and the lake is fringed with dense clumps of papyrus, which ancient Egyptians once used to make paper. Kingfishers perch on the papyrus, while herons hide in it as they search for food. Naivasha is also a popular bird-watching destination, with over 400 species recorded. It’s a favorite weekend retreat for Nairobi residents who come to sail, water-ski, and fish. There are no crocodiles in the lake, as the cold water (due to the altitude) keeps them away, but hippos are plentiful. Along the lakeshore, vineyards produce grapes for Kenya’s growing wine industry. Later, head to your resort for dinner and overnight.

An early morning start and drive to Amboseli National Park. Upon arrival, check in at your accommodation and enjoy lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. Amboseli National Park is located to the south of Nairobi. Most of the park consists of a dry, ancient lakebed and fragile grasslands, interspersed with patches of acacia woodland. In the southern part of the park, there are small, rocky volcanic hills. Rise early for stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds begin to gather over the summit. A packed lunch will be provided. After breakfast, an optional visit to a Maasai village can be arranged. This visit offers a chance to witness the singing and dancing that are integral to their daily lives and sacred rituals. You'll also get a glimpse into their homes and social structure, making for a poignant and unforgettable experience. Despite changes to its habitat, Amboseli National Park is possibly the best wildlife area in Africa to experience elephants up close. Left unharassed by poachers, the sight of elephants feeding and bathing in the swamps is undoubtedly one of the highlights of any safari
