Arusha Town - Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your driver/guide will pick you up and take you to Tarangire National Park, located in the Manyara Region. Tarangire is the sixth largest national park in Tanzania, following Ruaha, Serengeti, Mikumi, Katavi, and Mkomazi. During your visit, you will embark on a wildlife game drive, where you may encounter tree-climbing pythons, as well as lions, leopards, and more. Birdwatchers will enjoy spotting flocks of colorful yellow-collared lovebirds, alongside the more subtle rufous-tailed weavers and ashy starlings—species endemic to the dry savannah of north-central Tanzania.
The park is renowned for its large herds of elephants, tree-climbing lions, and the impressive baobab trees, often called the "Tree of Life" due to the mythical significance many cultures attach to them. Tarangire is also famous for the Tarangire River, which flows year-round, providing the only water source for wildlife during the dry season.

After breakfast, we will set off to Lake Manyara National Park for yet another exciting game drive.
Lake Manyara National Park is a scenic lake that made Ernest Hemingway exclaim “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”. Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded, and if your lucky, you can expect to see 100 of these in one day. Inland of the floodplain, a narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favoured haunt of Manyara’s legendary tree-climbing lions and impressively tusked elephants.

After breakfast, we will depart for a full day game drive at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This is an extensive highland area along the eastern arm of the Great Rift Valley, with the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater as its focal point. It is not a national park in the strict sense of the word, but was rather established to conserve wildlife and other natural resources. It exists to safeguard the interests of indigenous people as well as promote tourism. Thus, guests on safari have the unique experience of seeing Maasai herdsmen with their cattles among the tremendous variety of wildlife found in the area.

After breakfast, we will set off for Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch, and game drive en route via Olduvai Gorge, Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park. A UNESCO world heritage site and recently proclaimed 7th wonder of the world, Serengeti is famed for its annual migration where some six million hooves pound the open plains. Between July to October, witness an actual survival of the fittest as these animals plunge through crocodile-infested waters. The wildebeest produces more than 8,000 calves daily before the 1,000 km (600 mile) pilgrimage begins again.
Serengeti offers an exotic game-viewing experience in the whole of Africa giving you upclose look of the animals you’ve only seen in National Geographic: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle.

Serengeti National Park
Enjoy a full day of game viewing in the Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is renowned for its annual wildebeest migration and large predator population. From February to May, a herd of over a million wildebeest (gnu) migrate for the Western Corridor of the park, in search of greener pastures. The Serengeti’s other animal attractions include lion, leopard, zebra, Thompson gazelle, impala, Grant’s gazelle and buffalo. Most of the park is open swathes of grassland, broken by isolated granite kopjes (hills) and patches of acacias woodlands.

After breakfast, we will head north of Serengeti for a full day game drive in the wilderness tracking the Great migration trails. Witness million wildebeests, each one driven by the same ancient rhythm, fulfilling its instinctive role in the inescapable cycle of life: a frenzied three-week bout of territorial conquests and mating; survival of the fittest as 40km (25 mile) long columns plunge through crocodile-infested waters on the annual exodus north.

After breakfast, we will proceed for a full day game drive viewing the great migration at Mara area. Resident wildlife numbers are exceptionally high in the Wagakuria area. The key feature is the Mara River and there is a great chance to see the herds cross the Mara River to the north on one day and back south a few days later. Please note that it can be very difficult to witness crossing and is sometimes a matter of luck. A herd can be seen next to river and only decide to cross a couple of days later. This area is a stunning region with kopjes, woodland, riverine vegetation and open plains, similar to Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Reserve.

After breakfast, we depart for Serengeti North for a game drive viewing the great migration. River crossings at Kogatende starts in August as the mega herd settles into the area. Between August- October, game viewing is at its best with river crossings pretty much guaranteed every day. There is no distinct movement as the herds tend to cross back and forth over the river, following the rains and subsequent fresh grasses.
