You will be transferred from the airport to Windhoek. Depending on the time of arrival, you will embark on a city and township tour. During the three hours tour an experienced guide gives a detailed insight into the history from the German colonial times that influenced history and culture of the Namibian capital. The Reiterdenkmal (horse rider monument), the Alte Feste (Old Fort), the Christuskirche (church) and the oldest building of Windhoek, the old ammunition building, as well as Windhoek’s three castles are being visited. The highlight of the tour is the visit of the ‘slum’ or ghetto area Katutura and finally the drive onto a hill at the Goreangab Dam, from where you can enjoy a great view onto Windhoek. If you get time, stroll the city at your own pace.

After breakfast, we will drive to Bushmanland. Enroute to our destination, we will visit the world heaviest metallic meteorite, the Hoba Meteorite. It weighs about 60 tonnes, and analysis suggests it is mostly iron (80%) and nickel with traces of cobalt. After lunch, we will make our way more eastwards to Bushmanland. We have time to feel the tranquility of the lodge area before dinner. On the second day we have a full day excursion with the San people. Accompanied by San hunters, in search of warthog, springbok, springhare, porcupine, and large birds. It is not guaranteed that you will have success but, the thrill of tracking and stalking potential prey is exhilarating. It is to show one how they used to live traditionally and adjust to the Kalahari Desert without much surface water. We will experience traditional singing around the campfire, San woman playout their ritual games and the men mimicking antelope and giraffe movements.
