The journey typically takes about one hour, depending on traffic conditions. In Arusha, guests can relax and prepare for the adventure ahead. Day 2

On the second day, after breakfast in Arusha, guests will embark on a scenic drive to Ndutu in the Southern Serengeti region. This area is renowned for its rich wildlife and is particularly famous during the calving season when thousands of wildebeest give birth between late January and March. The transfer usually takes around four hours. Upon arrival in Ndutu, guests will enjoy an afternoon game drive where they can witness the incredible sight of newborn wildebeest and other wildlife such as zebras, gazelles, and predators like lions and cheetahs that are drawn to this seasonal abundance.

A picnic lunch may be arranged in the bush for an immersive experience.

Transfer to Central Serengeti for a Game Drive

After breakfast on Day 4, guests will depart Ndutu and head towards Central Serengeti, which is approximately a two-hour drive away. Central Serengeti is known for its diverse landscapes including open plains and riverine forests that attract large populations of wildlife year-round. Upon arrival, guests will embark on another game drive where they can expect to see large herds of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, as well as predators like lions lounging under acacia trees or stalking prey in the tall grass.

On your final day, after breakfast at your lodge in Central Serengeti, you’ll make your way towards Ngorongoro Crater—a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its stunning geological features and high concentration of wildlife within its caldera. The journey takes approximately four hours. Once at Ngorongoro Crater, you’ll descend into the crater floor where you’ll enjoy a half-day game drive amidst spectacular scenery and diverse fauna including rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, and various bird species. After exploring the crater, you’ll begin your return trip back to Kilimanjaro International Airport for departure.
