Arrival to Kigali and transfer to the Hotel

Upon arrival at Kigali International airport, you will meet our safari guide who will welcome you to the land of a thousand hills (Rwanda) and thereafter transfer you to Hotel ChezLando for a safari debrief and an overnight stay (Bed and Breakfast basis).

Kigali city Tour and transfer to Akagera National Park

Early this morning after breakfast, you will have a city tour in Kigali where you will visit different genocide memorial sites and the craft markets. Kigali city has got rich historical and traditional information that will make your safari more memorable. Thereafter, you will be transferred to Akagera National park for a game viewing safari experience. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Akagera Rhino camp for an overnight stay.

Game drives and boat cruise in Lake Ihema

This day after breakfast, you will start with a morning game drive in the park where you may have a chance to encounter over 12 species of antelopes, over 525 species of birds including the rare one called the shoe bill stock, papyrus gynolek and other animal species like the Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Buffalo and Elephant that may be spotted. Later in the afternoon, you will go for a boat cruise at Ihema Lake that will give you a memorable safari as you view the beautiful scenery of the place and many other primates that may be spotted. You will thereafter have a relaxing evening at Akagera Rhino camp for overnight stay.

Transfer to Volcanoes National park, afternoon Community tour

On this day, you will check out of the lodge and be transferred to Volcanoes National Park the home of the rare mountain Gorillas well known for the best experiences clients experience when they visit the park. Upon arrival, you will check in at the Lodge for a brief relaxation. Later in the evening, you will have an excursion to the traditional Iby’Iwachu local communities for a cultural experience. Accommodation will be at Mountain Gorilla view Lodge.

Gorilla tracking at Volcanoes National park

In the morning, you will have breakfast before setting off for a briefing at the headquarters for a memorable experience with the gorillas. You will have ranger guides to lead you into the forest for your tracking experience. Once the Gorillas have been tracked, you will be given an opportunity to take as many pictures as you need and even make videos of these species giving you a live to remember safari. Many other primates and bird species may also be spotted as you move in and out of the park. You will the return to the lodge after you experience for dinner and an overnight stay (full board basis).

Golden monkeys tracking and transfer to Kigali

This day after breakfast, you will prepare for the Golden monkeys tracking experience in Volcanoes National park. This experience is a rewarding one, not to be missed. Several animals and bird species may be spotted as you hike through the forests with beautiful views and landscape ideal for photography.
You will thereafter return to the lodge for preparations before being transferred to Kigali for your outbound flight.
