Travel from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

After breakfast, you'll meet our professional driver-guide at your accommodation, the airport, or another preferred location within the city. From there, you'll begin your journey to Mikumi National Park, a scenic 4-5 hour drive with a picnic lunch stop along the way.

Upon arrival at Mikumi, you'll be welcomed by the park’s iconic baobab trees, rising majestically against the African savannah. Your first game drive will take you through a variety of landscapes, from vast open grasslands to lush woodlands. Keep your eyes open for the park's renowned wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, and zebras, all roaming freely in their natural habitat.

In the evening, you'll return to your accommodation for a delicious dinner and an overnight stay at Camp Bastian Mikumi, where you can relax and reflect on the day’s adventure.

Start your day early with a cup of coffee before entering Mikumi National Park for an exciting game drive, complete with a breakfast box from your accommodation. The adventure will continue throughout the morning, offering unforgettable wildlife encounters. A delicious lunch will be served in the park, after which you’ll resume the game drive, exploring even more of the park’s beauty until sunset.
