Day 1

Okapuka Ranch

Your guide will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to Okapuka Ranch which is located about an hour drive away. We will embark on an afternoon game drive. This private ranch is a well-stocked land, protecting herds of sable, giraffe, blue wildebeest, oryx, greater kudu, white rhino among others. Let's enjoy our sunset drinks as a welcome to the Wildlife Highlights Tour.

Day 2-3

Eastern Etosha National Park

Eastern Etosha National Park

After breakfast, we will drive to the Eastern part of the Etosha National Park. We will be in time for an afternoon game drive upon arrival. There are 114 mammal species and over 350 bird species in this park. We will embark on a night drive today after dinner with hope of encountering nocturnal wildlife. On the second day, we will go for a full day game drive with lunch packs, explore this part of the park at most. Mammals include Black and White Rhinoceros, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, African elephant, Plains and Hartmann’s Mountain Zebras, Southern Giraffe, Eland, Gemsbok, African Wild Cat, Spotted and Brown Hyaena among other animals. Besides abundance of mammals, they are good chances of seeing bird species like Southern Pied and Bare-cheeked Babblers, Crimson-breasted Shrike, Violet-eared Waxbill, Red-headed and Cut-throat Finches, Namaqua, Double-banded and Burchell’s Sandgrouse, Pygmy and Lanner Falcons, Pink-billed, Sabota and Spike-heeled Larks among other specials.

Day 4-5

Bwabwata National Park-Northeast Namibia

Bwabwata National Park-Northeast Namibia

After breakfast, we will drive to the northeastern part of Namibia, with relatively high rainfall. On the second day, we will explore both the Mahango and Buffalo Core areas of the Bwabwata National Park. The Okavango River is the main focus in this part of the park. The greenery attracts an impressive range of animals including water-loving buffalo, elephant, sable, reedbuck, bushbuck, waterbuck, red lechwe and good numbers of crocodiles and hippo. It is a great favorite place for birdwatchers; more species can be found here than in any other park in Namibia. Ducks, geese, herons, plovers, egrets, kingfishers and various waders occur here.

Day 6-7

Kwando Core Area- Bwabwata National Park

Kwando Core Area- Bwabwata National Park

We will have breakfast on the boat in Okavango River before we leave for Kwando Core Area in the eastern side of Bwabwata National Park. We will explore the Kwando area before checking in at our lodge, which is located inside the park. The Kwando River has several names, Kwando in Namibia, Linyati at the parts of Botswana and it becomes Chobe in Kasane area in Botswana. This part of the park is 1280km2 is surface area and serves the main migration corridor of wildlife between countries, hence huge concentration of game. On the second day, we have a full day game drive with lunch packs to be taken in the park.

Day 8-9

Mudumu and Nkasa Rupara National Parks

Mudumu and Nkasa Rupara National Parks

After breakfast, we will explore the Mudumu National Park. Mudumu National Park is 1010 km2 expanse of dense savannah and mopane woodlands bordered in the west by the Kwando River. It is notable for its buffalo, roan and sable antelope populations, the water-loving lechwe and elusive sitatunga, and often large herds of elephant. We have a full day exploring this park with lunch packs. On the second day in Nkasa Rupara National Park, we will embark on morning and afternoon game drives with a local guide from the lodge. This 350 km2 park consists largely of marshland, veined by a network of reed-lined channels. It has vast majority of Namibia's population of Sitatunga, red lechwe, and puku, as well as large herds of buffalo and recorded 430 bird species.

Day 10

Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls

After breakfast, we will cross a couple of borders into Zimbabwe's Victoria Falls. We will be there in time to take a walk around the Falls. This is our last day, and the only day we are in a "townish" environment. Victoria Falls town is located in the national park. It is not uncommon to find people going about their normal town life while elephants, baboons, warthogs are roaming in the streets as well. Quite an interesting town indeed to reflect your Wildlife Highlights Tour. Various optional activities are available in the afternoon; helicopter rides over the falls, white water rafting, among others.
