Arusha to Central Serengeti National Park

Today you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred directly to the central area of Serengeti National Park, where you will have the opportunity to explore its endless plains. We will carry packed lunches to eat during the day.

The Serengeti is a place where you can see a variety of wildlife, including predators such as leopards, cheetahs, and lions, as well as herbivores like wildebeests. It is one of Africa’s principal attractions and offers the chance to see the “Big Five:” lions, buffaloes, rhinos, leopards, and elephants. The park is globally famous and draws many visitors, particularly for witnessing the Great Wildebeest Migration in Northern Serengeti.

Activities for the day include a wildlife game drive. Your accommodations will be at the Tented Lodge.

Northern Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we will depart early in the morning and transfer to the northern part of the Serengeti, specifically the Kogatende-Masai Mara region. You will enjoy an overnight stay here and packed lunch boxes provided for the journey. We will spend two days in this area to enhance your experience and enjoyment.

From early July to early October, this region is a prime location for observing wildlife such as wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes as they migrate from Kogatende to the Masai Mara, crossing the Mara River. This spectacle is particularly fascinating as large numbers of wildebeests move together, often encountering predators like crocodiles, which lie in wait trying to capture them for food.

Ngorongoro to Arusha

On this day, you will transfer from the accommodation you stayed into the Ngorongoro Crater after a hearty breakfast.

This UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the Seven Wonders of Africa, was formed about three million years ago. It is 610 meters deep and covers roughly 260 square kilometers. With a dense animal population of approximately 25,000 ungulates, the crater offers the best wildlife viewing in all of Tanzania. Within minutes, you can see wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and some of the more than 500 bird species present.

With a bit of luck, you might even spot endangered black rhinos grazing in the grass. After an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch, you will leave the crater in the afternoon and travel back to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at your accommodation or the airport.
