Optionally, depending on your arrival time, we'll take you out to help you discover why so many people think Tanzania is the best place in Africa to go on safari. Arusha is a fun city to explore, a fascinating urban complement to the thrills on offer elsewhere in northern

You will have your packed lunch at a picnic site in between the game drive sessions.

You'll see elephants when you stay at Tarangire Baobab Tented Camp, and sometimes they even come into camp.
The camp is well inside the boundaries of Tarangire National Park, and the whole area is filled with baobabs.

More time in Tarangire is always a bonus – this is the sort of park where the longer you stay, the better.

Tarangire National Park to Karatu

It's time for you to go on a guided game drive in Tarangire National Park this morning. No matter how many times you go, you'll never grow tired of the experience. You will be doing this game drive as you exit the park to Karatu town.

Enjoy quiet, little Karatu. Its busy main street is a window into urban life in a small provincial town, but it’s much quieter just a few blocks away from the main road. Shop, go to the bank, or simply walk the streets – all are possible here.

Relax and generally take it easy to allow yourself to both process and recover from all of the excitement that you’ve enjoyed on your safari so far.

Enjoy the beautiful scenery and all the incredible wildlife possibilities on a guided game drive through Central Serengeti as you drive from Karatu via Ndutu Ngorongoro.

There is nowhere in Tanzania where you have a better chance of seeing big cats than in the Central Serengeti. As you explore the savannah grasslands and silhouetted acacia trees with us, you'll also see lots of other animals. This is the Serengeti's heartland, and it is the most popular area of the park, but for very good reason.

You'll feel a part of nature at Mawe Tented Camp. In your safari tent, you're surrounded by the famous savannah grasslands of the Serengeti, and only canvas separates you from some of the biggest wildlife populations on the planet.
The camp is close to Seronera in the center of the park, and facilities include a bar, restaurant, and campfire area.

You will spend two days in this part of the park as you relax and enjoy the serene Serengeti.

Main Destination:
