On arrival you will be welcomed by our Nyumbu Beyond Journeys Safari guide will warmly welcome you and be transferred to your respective hotel in Entebbe, you will check-in at your lodge and relax for the evening as you prepare for a transfer the next day. In case your arrival time is early enough, you can opt for shoebill tracking in the mabamba swamp on the shores of lake Victoria or a city walk around Entebbe and Kampala.

Day 2

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Have breakfast early in the morning, and after the guide will pick you from your hotel to start your transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive to Bwindi Gorilla Park is long but rewarding with panoramic views of the green vegetation and traditional homesteads.

You will have a stopover at the equator for craft shopping and lunch will be in Mbarara then continue to the gorilla trekking safari park of Bwindi reaching the park headquarters late in the evening. You will check in at your lodge.

Day 3

Mountain gorilla trekking & visit the Batwa Cultural Village

Mountain gorilla trekking & visit the Batwa Cultural Village

After breakfast, depart to the starting point for briefing about your gorilla trekking adventure after which you will be led by experienced gorilla trackers on the slopes of the volcanoes. You will start from the site where the gorillas were encountered the day before and from here the gorilla tracking begins.
Although the hike can be physically demanding, the anticipation of the exciting experience ahead is amazing, and the beauty of the gorilla forest and its inhabitants are fascinating. Later take walk around the lodge after lunch to visit the Batwa /Pygmy community to see how they live.

The Batwa community walks in Bwindi take you to Batwa local communities where you learn more about their forest life. It’s not just a conventional nature walk but an in-depth interaction which increase an understanding of who the Batwa are. You may meet some small groups of Batwa during gorilla trekking but a walk out to their homes is an amazing experience.

Day 4

After our morning breakfast at your lodge, after you will start your transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park via the Ishasha area known for the famous tree climbing lions. On arrival at the park, you will enjoy an evening game drive where you will be able to view many animals including the kobs, antelopes, buffalos, lions, elephants, birds and many more. You will later check in at your lodge for Dinner and overnight.

Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast and after proceed for chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura gorge famous known as the valley of Apes, you will enjoy these primates for over 2 to 3 hours.

There are also many other animals in the gorge like the monkeys, birds, baboons and so on. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch as you prepare for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel where you will have a chance to see many animals including the crocodiles, hippos, birds, buffalos and so on.
