Transfer to Akagera National Park

After breakfast, we’ll depart for Akagera National Park, Rwanda’s only savannah national park located in the eastern part of the country. Upon arrival, check-in at your lodge or camp in the park. Enjoy lunch and some leisure time to relax. In the afternoon, embark on a thrilling game drive through the park, where you’ll have the chance to spot a variety of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and numerous bird species. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge or camp.

Game drives in Akagera National Park

Today, you’ll have a full day to explore Akagera National Park further. After an early breakfast, embark on morning and afternoon game drives, maximizing your chances of spotting the park’s diverse wildlife. Enjoy the stunning landscapes and the opportunity to see predators such as lions, leopards, and hyenas, as well as other animals in their natural habitat. Return to the lodge for meals and overnight stay.

Gorilla Habituation Experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today marks the highlight of your 7-Day Rwanda Uganda Safari as we embark on the gorilla habituation experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning the trek. Spend the day with researchers and trackers, observing and learning about the behavior of the gorillas undergoing habituation. Enjoy an incredible opportunity to spend more time (up to 4 hours) with a gorilla family. After the experience, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, we’ll head back to the park headquarters for another thrilling gorilla trekking adventure. Trek through the dense forest, following the guidance of experienced trackers, until you locate a gorilla family. Spend a magical hour in their presence, observing their behavior and capturing photographs. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, bid farewell to Bwindi as we drive back to Kigali, Rwanda, with stopovers along the way. Upon arrival in Kigali, you’ll be transferred to Kigali International Airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your memorable safari experience.
