You will be picked up at your hotel or any other preffered pick up location. The drive will take you through scenic landscapes, including rolling hills, bushland, and the edge of the Great Rift Valley. Keep an eye out for wildlife sightings along the way, especially if you pass through Equator points. Arrival at Sarova Shaba Lodge, in the afternoon, located in the heart of Samburu, you’ll check into the luxurious lodge, nestled in the Shaba Hills overlooking the Ewaso Ng'iro River. After lunch at the lodge, head out for an afternoon game drive in the Samburu National Reserve. Known for its unique wildlife, Samburu is home to the rare Samburu Five—Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk—species not commonly found in other parts of Kenya. The reserve also boasts plenty of elephants, lions, and cheetahs, all of which you can spot against the stunning desert-like backdrop.

We will pick you up at your hotel or any other preferred pick-up point. Start your day early with a hearty breakfast at Sarova Shaba Lodge. Afterward, set out on a morning game drive through the Shaba National Reserve. This is the best time to spot predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as iconic species like elephants, zebras, and the Samburu Five (Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk). The cool morning hours are ideal for wildlife sightings, and the dramatic landscapes provide a perfect backdrop for photography.
In the late morning, you can take a nature walk around the lodge area or near the river. You may encounter wildlife like monkeys, birds, or antelope grazing nearby. Your guide will provide insight into the local flora and fauna, enhancing your understanding of the ecosystem. After breakfast at Sarova Shaba Lodge, begin your drive to Sweetwaters Conservancy (also known as Ol Pejeta Conservancy), located approximately 2.5 to 3 hours away. This journey takes you through the vast plains of northern Kenya, where you'll pass rolling hills, bushland, and agricultural fields, offering the chance to enjoy beautiful views of the countryside. After lunch, embark on your first game drive in Ol Pejeta Conservancy, one of the most famous private conservancies in Kenya. Known for its rhino sanctuary and conservation efforts, you’ll have the chance to spot black and white rhinos, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, and if you’re lucky, even the elusive leopard. The conservancy is also home to chimpanzees, which you can visit at the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary.

Ol Pejeta is particularly known for its rhino sanctuary, where both black and white rhinos can be seen up close, including the last two northern white rhinos in the world. After your game drive, head to the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, located within the conservancy. You'll pass stunning landscapes, including rolling hills, savannah plains, and agricultural fields. As you head toward Lake Nakuru, enjoy sweeping views of the Great Rift Valley, with the chance to spot wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species along the way. After checking in, enjoy a delicious lunch at the lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru National Park is famous for its flamingos (though their presence may vary depending on the season), as well as its rhinos, buffaloes, giraffes, and lions. This park is also home to diverse birdlife, making it a paradise for birdwatchers.

You’ll head out into the Maasai Mara National Reserve for a thrilling game drive. The Mara’s vast savannah is home to the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhino), plus cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of birds. The early hours are prime for spotting predators hunting and iconic herds of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles, especially during the Great Migration (July to October).
