Depart Nairobi early in the morning (around 7:00am) for the Masai Mara, which is approximately a 5—6 hour drive (or you can choose to take a 45—minute flight). The day starts with an early breakfast and a pickup from your lodge or camp before sunrise. This early start is ideal for spotting predators like lions and leopards, which are still active after their nighttime hunt. You will venture into the Masai Mara National Reserve for an exciting game drive! The vast savannah of the Mara is home to the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino), cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and various birds.
