Ngorongoro Crater safari is about 4-5 hour drive from Aruusha to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, you will check into your accommodation and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the crater. This is your opportunity to witness the incredible wildlife, including zebras, hippopotamuses, buffaloes, and the rare black rhino, all in the unique and stunning landscape of the crater floor.

You’ll finish the day with a beautiful sunset over the crater before returning to your lodge.

Full Safari in Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, you will head back into the Ngorongoro Crater for another exciting game drive. The early morning hours are perfect for wildlife sightings as animals are most active during the cooler temperatures. During this drive, you will explore key areas of the crater, including Lake Magadi, known for its flamingos, and the Hippo Pool, where you can see large groups of hippos lounging in the water.

You will have the chance to spot more of the Big Five, such as lions, elephants, giraffes, and wildebeests.

Around midday, you will take a break for a picnic lunch in the crater, surrounded by nature, before continuing your safari. In the afternoon, you’ll have the option to return to any areas you may have missed or simply relax and enjoy the stunning views.

In the late afternoon, you will begin your journey back to Arusha, reflecting on the unforgettable experiences of the day. You will arrive back in Arusha by evening.
