On arrival in Rwanda, you will be welcomed and picked up by our Kubwa Five Safaris guide who will be holding an A4 paper with your name printed on it at Kigali International Airport.

After that, we will drive you to Akagera National Park and on arrival, you will check into your lodge.

In the afternoon, you will have a short game drive on your way for the boat cruise.

The park hosts several big mammals, the most sought after being lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, elephants, and hippos, which will provide great photographic moments.

We will search for big mammals like elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, several antelope species, and recently the reintroduced lions and rhinos. The park is a varied habitat for wildlife and a birder's haven with over 500 bird species.

The Rwanda capital Kigali stands at the physical center of this small and hilly country, no more than half a day by road from any of its major attractions. As Rwanda’s main cultural, economic and transport hub, Kigali also boasts an interesting selection of museums and galleries, a cosmopolitan choice of dining out options, and several attractive viewpoints over the steep slope and green valleys on which it lies.

After breakfast, you will assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing in the morning with your trekking gear and drinking water and venture into the forest to track the golden monkeys.

While participating in golden money trekking, you will learn interesting facts about golden monkeys that will make your Rwandan tour most enjoyable.

After lunch, you will be driven to Uganda and then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of the famous mountain gorillas.

Supporting almost half the world's mountain gorillas, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is arguably the best place anywhere in the world to track these charismatic gentle giants through their misty forest home.

Gorilla Trekking | Batwa Cultural Visit

After breakfast, you will head to the park head offices with your guide and packed lunch, for a briefing about the Do’s and Don’ts while in the park with gorillas.

After, go for gorilla trekking through the misty rain forest. Trekking can take 2 hours or up to 6 hours and this is based on the location of the gentle giants.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to over 346 bird species, 120 mammal species, 400 plant species, 27 frog species among others and covering an area of 331 sq. km.

Make sure you carry enough water, sturdy shoes, non-flash cameras, and rain jackets.

At the end of this long and exciting adventure, return to our lodge for a well-deserved shower.

In the evening, you will head out for a community walk where you will visit the Batwa, which is an indigenous group of people that has lived in the forest for 500,000 years, enjoy traditional dances and drama from them.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Ishasha sector for the tree-climbing lions on the Kasenyi Plains in the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth.

After, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a park where animals and people coexist in harmony. The park is also Uganda’s most popular tourist destination.

You will have an evening game drive aiming to catch the lions hunting in the evening. Lions usually hunt as the day dawns since the temperatures are cooler.

Protecting 95 mammal and 610 bird species, more than any other location in Uganda, Queen Elizabeth National Park ranks among Africa's most biodiverse safari destinations.

We will depart at 6:00am for a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park to catch the lions hunting in the morning. We also expect to see the Uganda kob, elephants, buffalos, warthogs, leopards, and waterbucks.

The world feels fresh and new on an early morning game drive, the sun has yet to beat down upon the earth, and it may end up being your favorite time to be out on safari.

After the morning game drive, you will go to your lodge for lunch.

After lunch, head out for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. Expect to see large numbers of buffalos, elephants, and hippos.

After the boat trip, you will be transferred to Kibale National Park.

After breakfast, you and your guide together with a packed lunch will assemble at the park head office for a briefing about the do's and don'ts of Chimpanzee trekking.

After the briefing, you will head out to trek the chimpanzees. The trekking takes about two to three hours, depending on the location of the chimpanzees.

After this amazing adventure, you will visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary.

You’ll go on a guided walk in the community-managed Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary bordering Kibale National Park. Here, you stand a good chance of spotting up to five monkey species. The forest birding is excellent, with a long list of colorful regulars that includes great blue turaco, papyrus gonolek, yellow-spotted barbet and blue-throated roller.

After breakfast, you will set off very early in the morning for a morning game drive.

Other activities in this game drive include bird watching and sightseeing across the open savannah, dotted woodland, and riverine vegetation along the Nile and Albert deltas.

After the morning game drive, you will head back to your lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will embark (between 2pm and 4pm) on a three-hour boat cruise on the Nile. This boat cruise offers an amazing view of the falls from the bottom. Hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, and aquatic birds can be seen along the shores of the river.

In the evening, you will go for an evening game drive.

After breakfast, you will head out for the top of the falls tour to see the most powerful waterfalls in the world.

It is an exciting experience that brings you close to the rushing whitewater as it squeezes through the narrow crevice below. The mist from the turbulence often produces rainbows.

After the top of the falls tour, you will be transferred to Kampala.

On your way to Kampala, you will visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. Trekking rhinos is a breathtaking activity here in Uganda, the pearl of Africa. After the rhino tracking, we will drive to Kampala.

Early in the morning, have breakfast, check out, and leave for Lake Naivasha.

On arrival at Lake Naivasha National Park, you will check inn at Burch Resort, then get out for an evening boat ride which is an optional activity at USD 62.

Of all Kenya's Rift Valley lakes, high-altitude Lake Naivasha offers the richest variety of experiences. There's lots to do here, and you might even see zebras, giraffes or hippos. Its human story is also fascinating: Lake Naivasha was popular with colonial types as an escape from the city, and it plays a similar role for locals now, especially on weekends.

After breakfast, you will go bike riding at Hell's Gate National Park for about 2 hours.

Expect a different experience in Hell's Gate National Park than in any other Kenyan park. With no predators here, you can get out of your vehicle to enjoy the gorge scenery and look for zebra, giraffe, impala, buffalo and rock hyrax.

After the bike riding, you will be driven to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving at your hotel in the afternoon.

After lunch, you will head out for an evening game drive.

Lake Nakuru National Park's claim to fame is anchored on its flamingos and the over 400 species of birds found here. The lake is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley. The sight of millions of flamingos is quite spectacular. From a distance, the lake appears ringed in pink.

In the Maasai Mara National Reserve, perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world occurs. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti in Tanzania in search of water and greener pastures.

On arrival at Masai Mara National Reserve, you will visit the local Maasai village for a Maasai cultural tour.

After breakfast, you will head out into the park for a full day game drive. You will spend the day in the reserve searching for well-known predators and their prey. We will look for zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, lion, cheetah, elephant, buffalo, and other animal species. You will have a packed lunch.

An early morning balloon safari (US $485 per person) can be organized (optional activity) before we proceed with the scheduled program.

We recommend that travelers book a balloon safari in advance. Unfortunately, we have limited capacity, and this adventure is frequently fully booked.

Later, you will have an evening game drive. The Masai Mara National Reserve offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe over 450 species of animals have been recorded here.

After an early breakfast, you will be driven to Isebania, the Kenya-Tanzania border, with packed lunches. We will meet our Tanzanian driver guide and change safari vehicles. After the formalities at the border are complete, we will drive to Serengeti National Park.

You will have a game as you head to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Welcome to the Unesco World Heritage–listed Serengeti, one of Africa’s top safari destinations. While you’re here, there’s an excellent chance that you’ll see leopards along the dry riverbanks, cheetahs out on the grasslands, and elephants, giraffes and all kinds of antelopes everywhere across the park.

After breakfast, you will have a full day in the park, rising early to make the most of your time here. Should you wish to enjoy a hot air balloon safari in the Serengeti National Park, we can arrange this (optional activity).

The Serengeti National Park is Tanzania’s oldest national park, renowned for the great annual migration when millions of antelope, mostly wildebeest, migrate to Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve.

This epic, seasonal journey is a deeply moving experience and a wonderful photo opportunity. Visitors to the park can roam its sprawling plains during the game drives or hop into a hot air balloon for a once-ina-lifetime wilderness adventure.

Our guides will choose the best animal spotting locations for the specific time of year. We will also spend time at the hippo pool, watching these majestic animals laze about in the cool water, happily living alongside the crocodiles. We might even see large lion prides!

Your Tanzanian safari draws to a close, and we're sure that you will have enjoyed it as much as we have.
