Day 1

Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park

Start your safari early in the morning for the best chance to spot animals. Your guide will take you on a game drive through the park, making stops at key wildlife viewing spots.

After the game drive, a walking safari with a park ranger is possible. This allows you to explore the flora and smaller wildlife of the park up close, including birdwatching.

Enjoy a picnic lunch or stop at a designated spot within the park for a meal, surrounded by nature. If you're interested in a more peaceful activity, you can take a canoe ride on the lakes and observe the abundant birdlife (Optional).

Mount Meru Trek

Breakfast at your accommodation, followed by a transfer to the Momella Gate (the main entrance to the park).
Start the trek at the gate, where a local guide will lead you up the mountain. The trek typically begins with a gentle climb through montane forest, where you will be able to spot wildlife and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Rest at the halfway point, where you can enjoy the view and take some photos of the panoramic landscapes.

Stop for a picnic lunch or enjoy a meal provided by your guide in the forest or near the ridge.

Continue hiking, reaching one of the crater viewpoints. On a clear day, you will have a great view of Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. This is also a great spot to rest and soak in the beauty of your surroundings.
Your hike may take you back down to the park gate, or you may opt for a full-day hike if you are up for it, depending on the pace you prefer.
