Day 1

Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your Arusha hotel by your tour guide. You’ll then journey to Tarangire National Park, where you’ll spend the full day immersed in wildlife exploration. As Tanzania’s third-largest park, it’s famous for its towering baobab trees that cast shadows over the animals grazing below. The park’s centerpiece, the Tarangire River, is celebrated for attracting some of Africa’s largest elephant herds. Throughout the day, you might spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, lesser kudus, buffalos, oryx, elands, giraffes, and zebras.

After an exhilarating day of game viewing, you’ll be taken to your lodge in Mto wa Mbu for a delightful dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

After a light breakfast, head down to the crater floor for an exciting game drive. You’re likely to encounter a variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, black rhinos, antelopes, and numerous bird species. Among the birds, you may spot eagles, vultures, and flamingos around Crater Lake, as well as storks, bats, giant vultures, sacred ibises, kori bustards, blacksmith plovers, herons with long necks, and cattle eagles.

Enjoy a picnic lunch by the scenic Hippo Pool before making your way back up the steep slope to exit the crater. From there, you’ll return to your lodge, where a delicious dinner will be prepared for you. After a day full of safari adventures, you’ll be ready for a restful night’s sleep. The following day, you’ll embark on the last leg of your safari journey.

Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel in Mto wa Mbu, you will be collected and taken to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day of adventure. A picnic lunch will be provided during the day. As you enter the park, you’ll be greeted by stunning woodlands filled with acacia and mahogany trees. The game drive will last throughout the day, with a brief pause for lunch. Keep an eye out for wildlife such as buffalos, giraffes, impalas, baboons, and blue monkeys as you explore. One of the park’s unique highlights is the tree-climbing lions, though spotting them depends on luck. If you visit during the right season, you may also witness large flocks of flamingos near the lake’s edge.

Once the game drive concludes, you’ll be driven back to your hotel in Arusha.
