Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara is a world-class wildlife-viewing destination, and it offers you some special safari experiences.
For a start, it has one of the few lion populations in Africa which are known to climb trees. It's also famous for its elephants, and it's not unusual to drive along a forest track only to have to stop suddenly to allow an elephant family to pass.
The setting is similarly superb, with the park's thin, but dense strip of forest wedged between a bird-rich lake and the cliffs of the Rift Valley escarpment.

In the morning, you'll be transferred by road to Lake Manyara National Park and start a full-day private guided game drive through the forests in Lake Manyara. Your packed lunch will be served around lunchtime at a picnic site.

Later in the afternoon, we'll take you to your luxury lodge for the overnight stay.

Main Destination:
Lake Manyara National Park

Early in the morning after breakfast, you'll take a short drive from the lodge to the shores of Lake Manyara for a Dhow Ride on the lake for up to 2 hours, followed by a Maasai cultural tour for 1 hour.

Lunch will be served hot during lunchtime.

After lunch you'll embark on a village tour in Mto Wa Mbu on the outskirts of the national park; this experience will expose you to the sights and sounds of the day-to-day lives of the normal Tanzanian communities.

The Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, you'll transferred to the Ngorongoro Crater by road and spend a full day private game drive.
Lunch in the afternoon will be at a picnic spot on the crater floor.

Your first sight of Ngorongoro Crater is likely not one you’ll easily forget.
As seen from the crater rim, this natural bowl, both vast and intimate, is one of Africa’s most beautiful natural features, stretching 19 green kilometers (12 miles) from one side to the other. Down in the crater itself, you’ll explore an astonishingly rich, self-contained ecosystem that is protected by high crater walls. Here, lions and hyenas hunt wildebeest and Grant’s gazelle within sight of elephants and black rhinos.
Your day spent here will reveal a surprising variety of habitats, from the Lereal Forest and salty Lake Magadi to the plains that rise and fall gently all across the valley floor.

Overnight stay will be at another luxury lodge on the edge of the crater's rim.
