Gondar- Sankaber

On Arrival at Gondar Airport your guide and driver and depart from Gondar to Debark, where you will obtain the necessary permits to enter the Simien Mountains National Park. Upon arrival in Debark, you will meet your local guide, scout, cook, porters. Afterward, enjoy a 1-hour drive into the heart of the park, where the Adventure begins! Set on your first 3–4-hour hike to Sankaber Camp,
Located at an elevation of 3250 meters above sea level. The trek offers breathtaking views of the dramatic cliffs, deep valleys, and Lush landscapes, and you may have the opportunity to see the rare Gelada Baboons.

Sankaber - Chenek

After an early open-air breakfast, start your day with a 2-hour hike to Jinbar Waterfall. The trail leads through the rugged terrain and offers more scenic views of the Simien Mountains. Spend some time at the waterfall and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. After your visit to the waterfall, return to the road and take a drive about 30 minutes then hike for 4-5 hours or (drive) to Cheneck, a well-known area for spotting wildlife and enjoying panoramic vistas. Upon arrival at Cheneck, you will set on a short hike to spot the endemic Walia ibex (a wild goat species found only in the Simien Mountains), along with other wildlife like the Gelada baboons and possibly even Ethiopian wolves. In the late afternoon, set up camp at Cheneck at an altitude of 3500 meters, where you’ll enjoy stunning views of the surrounding peaks.

Chenek- Gondar

Start the day with an early morning hike to Buhawit Peak, one of the highest and most scenic spots in the Simien Mountains, at an elevation of 4150 meters. The hike will take approximately 5 hours to reach the peak, offering incredible views of the surrounding cliffs, valleys, and peaks, including Ras Dashen, the highest peak in the Simien Mountains. After enjoying the views and taking some photos, you will make your way back down and drive back to Gondar Airport for your flight to Addis Ababa.
