Day 1

On the first leg of your safari, your driver-guide will meet you at the hotel or airport, greet you, and provide a briefing about your upcoming safari. Afterward, you will begin your drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, located 505 km from Kampala. Along the way, you'll stop at the equator for a brief demonstration and then continue to Mbarara for lunch. Afterward, you'll proceed to the southwestern countryside, heading towards the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, where you'll spend the next two nights. You will arrive in the evening, check in to your lodge, enjoy dinner, and stay overnight.

Day 2

Rise early in the morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast, and then meet your driver-guide, who will transfer you to the briefing center. Here, you'll learn about gorilla trekking etiquette, be assigned to a gorilla family, and then head out with a knowledgeable ranger guide. The guide will provide insights and answer your questions as you trek through the dense forest.
Gorilla trekking can take anywhere from one to seven hours, depending on how quickly you locate the gorillas. Once you find them, you'll have one hour to take pictures and savor every moment. Afterward, you'll return to your lodge to freshen up. In the evening, you'll visit the Batwa community for a cultural experience.

Day 3

You will wake up at your leisure, enjoy breakfast, check out, and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, the deepest lake in Uganda and the second deepest in Africa. You will arrive in the afternoon, check in at the lodge, and have lunch. In the evening, enjoy a canoeing adventure on Lake Bunyonyi, which is home to over 29 islands, each with its own unique history. Take in the stunning views of the terraced farmland surrounding the lake and enjoy the sounds of birds singing around you. You can also opt to swim, as this is the only bilharzia-free water body in Uganda. After a fulfilling evening, you will retire to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 4

Arise in the morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast, check out of the lodge, and meet your driver guide, who will transfer you to Lake Mburo National Park. Known as Uganda’s "highway" national park, it is just a few kilometers from the Mbarara-Kampala highway. You will have a stopover at the Igongo Country Hotel for lunch, followed by a visit to the Igongo Cultural Center to engage with Ankole culture. In the evening, you’ll transfer to the park and check into the lodge for your overnight stay.

Day 5

This is an exciting day! You will wake up in the morning, enjoy breakfast, meet your driver-guide, and head into the jungle to catch the animals while they are still very active. You will encounter herds of zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, elands, leopards, hyenas, and many more.
Return to the lodge by mid-morning to relax and wait for lunch. In the evening, you will embark on a boat cruise on Lake Mburo. Return to the lodge in the evening to unwind, enjoy dinner, and stay overnight.

Day 6

On the last day of your safari, you will wake up in the morning, enjoy your breakfast, check out, and go on a final game drive, offering you a chance to spot any animals you might have missed earlier. Afterward, you will exit the park and head to Kampala or Entebbe, marking the end of your trip.
