Day 1
Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park
In morning, set off on an exciting game drive through Tarangire National Park, a vast wilderness covering nearly 3,000 square kilometers. Known for its impressive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, the park takes its name from the Tarangire River, which winds gracefully through its landscape.
Tarangire is at its most vibrant during the dry season (June–November), when its wildlife densities rival those of the Serengeti. During this time, large herds of elephants and numerous other species congregate along the river, their primary water source. With its diverse ecosystems and the ever-flowing Tarangire River, the park is home to over 2,000 elephants and an incredible 500 species of birds, making it a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and birdwatchers alike.
